Susan was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2020 and then pancreatic cancer in 2021. She is grateful for Dr. Kirchhoff’s compassionate care during a challenging time. "Dr. Kirchoff was my surgeon for breast cancer, and he also performed the Whipple procedure for my pancreatic cancer. His compassionate care of me throughout both surgeries was beyond my expectations. I always felt that I was in the best hands. He answered all my questions as well as my husbands, who has the ultimate respect for Dr. Kirchoff. I would recommend him to anyone in need of excellent care."

From the first time that I met Dr. Clay, I felt like I had known her forever. She treated me as a person, not a number. She made me feel at ease and explained everything to me before my radiation started so there were no surprises. She is like that favorite Aunt that you seek out at family reunions. You enjoy being around her and catching up. Her staff is the best. As weird as it may sound, she and her staff and I enjoyed many giggles during my 33-day radiation treatments. We found light in the darkness. Dr. Clay is a blessing to the medical field, and all the people who come in contact with her are blessed beyond measure. Thank you, Dr. Clay!

When I received my diagnosis of Triple Negative Breast Cancer at the age of 36 in December of 2019, I was so shocked and scared. Little did I know that the world would shut down in just a few short months. What can already feel like a like a lonely time was magnified by COVID-19. When my husband and I met Dr. Ellison and his staff for the first time I no longer felt alone. Dr. Ellison along with all the other wonderful physicians who made up my care team made me feel brave, strong and a part of a team that would fight this battle together. Dr. Ellison also provided me with a type of oral chemo that was then in the clinical trial stages that, as I see it, saved my life. I am 3 years no evidence of disease and I can't thank my wonderful Oncologist and his team enough for all that they did for me and my family.

Named for the founders of Roper Hospital, Colonel Thomas Roper, and Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital, Sister Xavier Dunn, the Roper Xavier Society recognizes the Foundation’s leadership donors. This annual giving society represents individuals and organizations who contribute a minimum of $1,500 each year.
